Lena Stewart
My name is Lena Stewart (she/her) and I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT-C) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief, burnout, and life transitions. People often seek therapy during times when things feel overwhelming or unclear, and it can be difficult to make sense of what you’re carrying on your own.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, values-driven, and grounded in deep respect for your lived experience. In our work together, I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, Compassionate Inquiry, and other evidence-based modalities to help create a grounding space where you can feel understood, clarify what matters most to you, and move forward in ways that feel more aligned and sustainable.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in career development and communications — experiences that shaped my understanding of identity, purpose, and the emotional impact of change. This background allows me to thoughtfully support clients navigating transitions, uncertainty, and the quieter forms of stress that often go unseen.
At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about reconnecting with what is already within you. I strive to offer a calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can show up as you are and begin to feel more like yourself again.
I look forward to connecting with you.
