I’m Dave—a counsellor and fellow human. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step. I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can speak freely, cry if needed, and get clarity on the confusing feelings in your head. My approach is collaborative and conversational—like talking with a caring and compassionate friend.

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—because I don’t believe you’re broken.
Instead, I help you get curious about what’s beneath the surface: the parts of you that protect, push, withdraw, or strive. Through this work, we begin to untangle old stories and reconnect with what matters to you.

I draw from trauma-informed, relational, and evidence-based approaches—including Narrative Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). But at the heart of it, I believe healing happens through authentic connection.

For couples: I help partners move beyond blame into deeper understanding. We’ll explore stuck patterns, unmet needs, and the emotions underneath conflict. Whether you’re rebuilding trust, improving communication, or deciding where to go next, I’ll hold space for both of you with care and curiosity.

A bit more about me:
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a professional musician. Creativity is still a huge part of my life—it helps me connect with nuance, emotion, and the unspoken. I often work with creatives who are navigating the emotional and practical challenges of living as an artist today.

If you’re feeling unsure about starting therapy, that’s okay. You don’t need to have the right words or a specific goal. We can figure it out together.
