Ally Haley
Hi, I’m glad you’re here!
I’m a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) in Nova Scotia, specializing in perinatal mental health and wellness, relationship dynamics, and domestic violence recovery. I initially grew passionate about working with parents because of my own challenges in her adjustment to motherhood, particularly with guilt, shame and relationship changes.
My approach is grounded in compassion, warmth, and deep respect for each person’s unique story. Whether you're navigating the emotional complexities of pregnancy or parenthood, working through relationship challenges, or healing from the trauma of abuse, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be fully seen and supported.
Sessions with me are often deep and meaningful—exploring the roots of pain, patterns, and healing—but they can also be lighthearted and grounding, especially when life feels overwhelming. I believe in the power of connection, laughter, and honesty in therapy, and I meet each client where they are, with empathy and care.
I work with individuals and couples, helping them build resilience, self-awareness, and healthier relationships—with themselves and others. Together, we’ll work at your pace, toward the kind of inner strength and clarity that fosters real change.
The main therapeutic modalities that I use in practice include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).
Feel free to book a free consult for more information, and to determine if we would be a good fit to work together!
